Dr. Richard Luckett |
Seismologist at the British Geological Survey
I am a seismologist at the British Geological Survey. In this capacity I spent many years resident at the Montserrat Volcano Observatory in charge of the seismic monitoring there. I have also worked in oil exploration and for the International Seismological Centre. My current interests include real-time processing of seismic data, tsunami warning systems and seismic tomography. I continue to work with data from Montserrat as time allows. My PhD was done at Leeds university. It is entitled 'Seismological Study of the Internal Dynamics of a Volcano' and is based on studies at Stromboli. I have also worked at Batur and Ruapehu. contact details
